Committee

THE COMMITTEE

The Committee is an elected body of people, mainly parents of children at the Pre-School.  There should be a minimum of three executives; Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, and two other elected members.  The committee should not exceed fifteen members including the executives, up to nine elected and three co-opted members. Each member cannot serve more than four consecutive years without a break.  The Committee adopts the constitution of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

The Committee are annually elected at the Annual General Meeting usually held in October.  The Committee meet regularly (usually once per half term) to discuss issues relating to the running of the Pre-School: setting fees, hiring and maintaining good staff, fund-raising and general maintenance of the Pre-School. The Committee are legally and financially liable for the running of the Pre-School.
